Hello, I am Deborah Cross, a lived experience and professionally qualified Integrative Fertility Counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. After 15 years of lived experience with fertility difficulties and the heartbreaking loss of two babies, Caoimhe Dáithí and Cuán, #SayTheirName, I have transformed these challenging experiences into a professional and person-centred fertility counselling service. Fertility Counselling Care (NI) is dedicated to supporting clients through the pain and struggles of infertility, donor conception, premature ovarian insufficiency, baby loss, early menopause, and the many other challenges that arise on this difficult path. I hold registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have membership, along with foundation and advanced training from the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA). Additionally, I am an active member of the Irish Fertility Counsellors Association (IFCA).
With our online therapy for fertility, we ensure confidentiality, convenience, and the highest standards of care for clients across the UK and Ireland. I also hold the required Certificate of Practitioner Insurance and consistently adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework and Guidelines for Clinical Supervision, providing a reliable IVF counselling experience.

Fertility Counselling Care (NI) specialises primarily in areas of infertility, fertility difficulties, including preparedness for treatment, unsuccessful treatment outcomes, egg donation, sperm donation, premature ovarian insufficiency, surrogacy, early menopause, miscarriage, and baby loss. These are our specialised areas of practice in our aspiration to support and help clients to understand, validate, integrate, and alleviate the hurt and pain experienced when faced with a difficult road in the pursuit of parenthood. My motivation stems from my own lived experience with fertility difficulties, numerous treatment cycles, unsuccessful treatment outcomes, miscarriages, and my own immersion in therapy to heal as a woman now navigating a life that is childless not by choice. It is this personal journey that propelled me to seek an academic and personal understanding of therapeutic supports, including fertility and IVF counselling to enable me to establish Fertility Counselling Care (NI) with the hope of supporting others.

At Fertility Counselling Care (NI) we take a holistic approach to fertility counselling, focusing on the connections between mind, body, and spirit. As a professionally trained counsellor I utilise a variety of evidence-based techniques and therapies to help clients achieve optimal emotional and mental wellness. A blend of therapeutic modalities, such as person-centred integrative therapy, supports clients in managing the typical psychological symptoms encountered on their difficult fertility journey. We often assist clients dealing with low mood, anxiety, depression, life-limiting beliefs, relationship difficulties, loss and grief related to their fertility experiences. Additionally, we offer online therapy for fertility, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as a sole therapeutic modality.
